Newcomers' Welcome
For people who are new and don't know many faces yet. Planned for every month and kept small, so the hosts can introduce you to three other people.
Monthly Social
Drinks and good company on the same evening each month, at the sort of place you'd choose yourself.
Interest Groups
Smaller circles around one thing: hikes, padel, wine tastings, supper clubs, coworking days and breakfasts for business owners.
Signature Experiences
A few bigger days out each year, such as a day in the winelands or a chef's table.
Gatherings are ticketed, and members pay less. There's more about each one on the home page.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to give my email to see my result?
No. Your result appears as soon as you've answered the third question. Joining the founding list is a separate step underneath it, and it's up to you.
What happens to my answers?
If you join the founding list, we keep your three answers with your email address so we can plan the gatherings people want. If you don't join, your answers aren't stored against you. We also count how often each answer is chosen through our site analytics, and those counts aren't tied to your name or email.
When does The Expat Club start?
The first meeting is in Cape Town in January 2027. Johannesburg and Durban follow around the middle of 2027.
